Who am I?

My name is Johan De Smedt

I am a native Belgian and in 1996 I moved from Belgium to southern Germany. I am married to Brigitte and we are having a son Alexander. At the age of 11 years, I started to study and breed different species of reptiles and amphibians.

My principal interest applies however to the European vipers, in those I got specialized over the years. Beside the reptiles, I am also interested in photographing, computer and martial arts.

My profession has nothing to do with reptiles and amphibians. Being a technical engineer, I work in a mechanical engineering company, as an employee in the customer training center. There I inform customers from all world in control engineering. I speak four languages: Dutch, French, English and of course German.
